With the experience it has in the sector, it makes product and mold designs within its own structure. It uses various high-tech design and simulation programs in product design and development. At the SKT R&D center, studies such as design development and development of advanced sealing technologies, finite element analysis related to products are carried out. In addition, about 800 mold designs are also made together with our own mold manufacturing.

Since the first day of its establishment, it has continued to direct research and development studies with an innovative point of view; it has formalized these studies on the roof of SKT R&D Center by being entitled to receive the “R& D Center Certificate” by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2015. To date, TUBITAK has signed many supported projects and is moving forward by accelerating its projects every day. Many Industries it has founded-Industry, Academia-Industry, etc. the projects that emerge from many collaborations also enable the emergence of value-added products. In addition to various simulation software, multi-faceted studies are also being carried out on the development of new products with the Abacus and Catia programs.

Our R&D Targets and Strategies
 

Our short-term strategies are to expand our product range, to develop sealing elements for both different geographies and different sectors, to make low-cost and high-quality felt designs, to go digital by developing production processes, and to ensure the successful continuation of the ministry-approved R&D Center.

 

In the medium term; It is aimed to develop a test center where design verification tests of prototype parts developed as a result of our R&D studies are carried out, to develop new rubber materials as a result of cooperation with universities for market demands, to make project applications within the scope of TÜBİTAK and EU grant programs, and to strengthen the R&D culture in the enterprise. and our strategies.

 

By strengthening our sectoral expansions, to prove the strength of SKT in sealing elements worldwide, to develop products for new markets with the knowledge gained in design as a result of R&D activities, to continue innovations in production processes, and to develop new manufacturing technologies through cooperation with universities and participation in projects from EU funds. form the R&D targets and strategies in the long term.
